After narrowly missing out on the Memorial Tournament last month, Ben Griffin will go into the Rocket Classic with confidence in his stride.
What to know about Ben Griffin
The 29-year-old enjoyed a relatively fruitful 2025, while he recently finished in second place at the Memorial Tournament at the Muirfield Village Golf Club last month.
Also, Griffen ended the recent Travelers Championship in T14, where he raked in $380 000 in the process.
Nevertheless, Griffin is a two-time PGA Tour winner after claiming the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and the Charles Schwab Challenge titles this year.
What did he say
In response to Jack Nicklaus, who suggested that Griffin is not on Scottie Scheffler’s level after his Memorial tournament victory, the US Golfer explained that he welcomes the criticism as motivation.
“I use a lot of that stuff as kind of motivation,” Griffin said after the Travelers Championship.
“Maybe I don't have the resume of a Scottie Scheffler or Rory McIlroy or an elite player, but in this current moment, I have no doubt that I can beat those guys."
