Marc Marquez will be eager to continue his recent momentum after a dominant Czech round by winning the Netherlands MotoGP.

The nine-time world champion delivered a commanding performance, winning the Czechia MotoGP on 21 June for his second consecutive victory.
Marquez started from fifth on the grid, fought past teammate Francesco Bagnaia late in the race, and held off a strong challenge from Ai Ogura to take the win by 0.421 seconds.
MotoGP ambitions
The 33-year-old, nicknamed 'The Ant of Cervera' (or El Formigón in Spanish), sits fourth in the 2026 MotoGP Riders' standings with 140 points.
The Ducati Lenovo rider trails championship leader Marco Bezzecchi by 40 points.

Coming off back-to-back victories in Hungary and Czechia, the Ant of Cervera arrives at Assen in strong form and ready to extend his winning streak.
Marquez's proven record at the Cathedral of Speed - including winning the 2025 Netherlands MotoGP—means he will be eager to close the gap on the Aprilia riders and keep his title hopes alive.

“I'm extremely happy with this win. It was somehow an unexpected one, as I was sure that I would struggle towards the end," Marquez said after winning the 2026 Czechia MotoGP.
"It did happen, actually, but the others were not quicker than me. I believe that the bike had something more, but I wasn't able to make the most of it, especially in the change of direction between turns 6 and 7, which is normally one of my strong points.
"But where I was instead losing time. I'm taking each Grand Prix as it comes and right now I'm enjoying the moment. We'll have a test tomorrow and then head straight to Assen.”
