Ferrari driver Chalerc Leclerc will be keen to win the Tuscan Grand Prix title Scarperia e San Piero, Italy on September 13.

The Monegasque driver's poor form continued in the current campaign as he was forced to retire at last weekend's Italian Grand Prix.

A heavy crash for Leclerc prompted a red flag in Monza and his teammate Sebastian Vettel was also forced to retire from the race with a brake failure.

French driver Pierre Gasly took his maiden Formula One victory at this year's Italian Grand Prix while driving for Scuderia AlphaTauri.

While Spain's Carlos Sainz Jr of McLaren finished second and Canadian driver Lance Stroll of Racing Point finished on position three.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is placed at the top of this year's Drivers' Championship standings followed by his teammate Valtteri Bottas and Red Bull's Max Verstappen respectively.

Leclerc is now placed seventh on the Drivers' Championship standings having been forced to retire in two of the last three races.

The 22-year-old was up as high as sixth when the rest of the field pitted at the Italian Grand Prix, but he crashed when the race restarted.

Leclerc is now looking forward to Mugello (Tuscan Grand Prix) following a disappointing race in Monza.

"We were struggling quite a lot with the balance. It’s very, very hard to drive but it’s life at the moment," Leclerc said.

"But we’ll try to push hard at Mugello, to come back stronger, but I just lost the rear and that’s it. It is difficult, but today I’m more thankful to get out of the car without major issues.

"So surely it’s a difficult moment but I’m looking forward to Mugello to get back and hopefully have a good result.”

Mercedes are placed at the top of Constructors' standings followed by second-placed Red Bull and third-placed McLaren-Renault.
