2020/21 UEFA Champions League

Semi-Final - Second-Leg

Manchester City v Paris Saint Germain (PSG)

Etihad Stadium
Manchester, England
Tuesday, 4 May 2021
Kick-Off is at 20h00

Manchester City will be confident of recording another win over Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in the UEFA Champions League semi-final second-leg game on May 4.

The first-leg match ended in a 2-1 victory in favour of City with Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne scoring for the visitors in France on April 28.

City will progress to the Champions League final for the first time if they avoid a defeat to the French giants in England.

A draw will also be enough for the Citizens to make history in Europe's biggest club tournament by reaching the final.

City's previous semi-final tie in the Champions League was against record 13-time winners Real Madrid during the 2015/16 campaign.

The Citizens were eliminated from the tournament after suffering a 1-0 defeat to the Spanish giants on aggregate.

City will once again pin their hopes of defeating PSG on De Bruyne, who is one of the best attacking midfielders in the world.

Pep Guardiola, the City manager, says they will adopt the same attacking approach when they lock horns with PSG in Manchester.

"We started really well. We conceded a goal and after that, we felt the pressure. The second half was excellent in every department," Guardiola said.

"We’ve scored two goals away, which is so important, but we have a hard job to do in six days. At 1-0 we didn’t have good possession in the right positions.

"This club doesn’t have much experience at this stage of the competition. All I want is for us to be ourselves in the second leg. We are good playing a certain way, we cannot do it differently."

The last time City hosted PSG in a competitive match was on 12 April 2016.

City emerged 1-0 winners in the Champions League quarter-final second-leg match at the Etihad Stadium.
