Paul Casey will be determined to make history by winning the
2022 Valspar Championship, having enjoyed some success in the event in the past.
The Englishman won this tournament in 2018 and 2019 - becoming the first golfer to win back to back Valspar Championship trophies.
Casey currently shares the record for the most Valspar Championship titles with K.J Choi and Retief Goosen, but he will now be hoping to become the first golfer to win the title three times.
The Arizona-based golfer earned his first PGA Tour win in April 2009 by defeating J.B Holmes in a one-hole playoff at the Shell Houston Open.
Casey, who was once ranked third on the Official World Golf Rankings, then endured a nine-year trophy drought on the PGA Tour, before he lifted the Valspar Championship in March 2018.
The 44-year-old then successfully defended his title with a one-stroke victory over Jason Kokrak and Louis Oosthuizen, to claim his third PGA Tour title in the process.
Casey, who scooped the 2006 European Tour Player of the Year accolade, took part in the recent Arnold Palmer Invitational and he finished 72nd.

"I'm very proud my career has been as long as it has and I've still got opportunities to win against the youngsters," Casey told Golf Digest about his 2022 ambitions on March 14.
"This is my 22nd year as a professional, so maybe I can tick that box today and get over the line and then Paul McGinley can talk about me next week.
"I know you guys would say it's not a star-studded leader board, it's not the usual suspects," the 2001 Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year added.
"But every single PGA Tour event is like … the level of golf is unbelievable. I love the fact I've got an opportunity."
