Francesco Bagnaia will be determined to become the second Italian to win the
Argentine Grand Prix after motorcycle racing icon Valentino Rossi.
What to know about Bagnaia
The Ducati rider has been competing in the MotoGP since 2019 having been crowned Moto2 world champion in 2018.
Bagnaia is the current MotoGP world champion and he is the first rider from the VR46 academy to win a world title in the premier class.

Starting from second on the grid at the 2023 Portuguese MotoGP on March 26, Bagnaia imposed himself from the opening stages, as he managed to gain the race lead already on the second lap.
Thanks to an impressive pace and good tyre management, Bagnaia could fend off Aprilia rider Maverick Viñales, who stayed close behind him throughout the race and the Ducati rider won the event.
Why he could win the Argentine MotoGP
The reigning MotoGP champion is in great form at the moment having started the defence of his title with a win at the Algarve International Circuit in Portimão.
Bagnaia, who won seven races during the 2022 MotoGP Season, has what it takes to make it back to back wins at the Autódromo Termas de Río Hondo.
What did he say?
"This is definitely the best start to the season I have ever had in my career, so I can only be happy," Bagnaia said after winning the 2023 Portuguese MotoGP.
"My team and I did a great job during testing, so the bike setup was already pretty much defined at the beginning of the weekend.
"In Argentina, the situation will definitely be different. Still, my feeling with the new bike is incredible, so I think we will be ready to face any condition."
