Joel Dahmen will be determined to become the first golfer to win the
Corales Puntacana Championship twice.
What to know about Dahmen
The American golfer has won three professional tournaments including the 2021 Corales Puntacana Championship having turned professional in 2010.
Dahmen initially played on the PGA Tour Canada - winning twice as he clinched the PC Financial Open and Syncrude Boreal Open in 2014.
Therefore, the former University of Washington student won the Order of Merit to gain his Web.com Tour card for 2015.

Dahmen took part in the recent 2023 Valspar Championship where he finished 61st as his compatriot Taylor Moore won the tournament.
The Washington-born golfer is currently placed 100th on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) - his best-ever ranking in the world.

Dahmen is familiar with the Puntacana Resort and Club as his two-under 70 was enough for a one-shot victory over Sam Ryder and Rafael Campos in 2021.
The two-time Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 3A state golf champion knows what it takes to win the Corales Puntacana Championship.

“I mean, two dudes [Dahmen and his caddie, Geno Bonnalie] growing up together who were golf dorks, like, somehow, winning on the PGA TOUR. I had planned (celebrating a Tour victory) so many times in my head but it didn’t quite go as expected,” said Dahmen after winning the Corales Puntacana Championship.
“I couldn't believe (Bonnalie) was crying, I thought he'd be the tough guy, but he's put in a lot of time and effort and he's believed in me when no one else did. He had an 8-month-old kid at home and started caddying for me on the (Korn Ferry Tour) and somehow his wife let him.
"It's just special how much we've been through together, some lean times. I'm so lucky, he cares more about me than any golf shot I'll ever hit. Just to be able to do that together was pretty darn cool.”
