2023 Monaco Grand Prix is set to take place at the Monaco Circuit de Monaco in Monaco on May 28.
What to know about the Monaco GP
Run since 1929, the Monaco Grand Prix is widely considered to be one of the most important and prestigious automobile races in the world.
The event is usually held on the last weekend of May and is known as one of the largest weekends in auto racing, as the Formula One race occurs on the same Sunday as the Indianapolis 500 (IndyCar Series) and the Coca-Cola 600 (NASCAR Cup Series).

The Miami MotoGP which was the fifth round of the 2023 Formula One World Championship season took place on May 7 at the United States Miami International Autodrome.
The race was won by Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing-Honda RBPT with his teammate Sergio Perez finishing second and Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin securing the third spot.
Standings
Verstappen remains at the top of the World Drivers' Championship standings followed by Perez and Alonso respectively.
Looking at the World Constructors' Championship standings, Red Bull Racing-Honda RBPT are placed at the top - followed by Aston Martin Aramco-Mercedes and Mercedes respectively.
Favourites
All eyes will be on Verstappen as the reigning Formula One world champion looks to record his second successive win at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Perez will be determined to retain his Monaco Grand Prix title, while Alonso and Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton will both be keen to record their maiden win of the season.

"I had a great time. It was really fun," Hamilton, who has won the Monaco Grand Prix three times, said after finishing sixth at the 2023 Miami Grand Prix.
"It was great to be able to come back from 13th because it was bad qualifying yesterday so to be able to take that step forward was awesome. I don’t really know about the strategy, I don’t know if that was optimum, or whether it could have been worse.
"But eventually, I was able to start making headway, and then once I’d done the stop and I got back out on the [Medium, sic] is when I was able to really start to push," the seven-time Formula One world champion added.
"The car came a bit alive midway through the race, and I think to get from 13th to sixth – I’m pretty happy with that."
