Rory McIlroy will be looking to continue his dominance at the Wells Fargo Championship having won the tournament a record three times.
What to know about McIlroy
The Northern Irish superstar remains among the best golfers in the world and he is currently placed third on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR).
Nicknamed Wee-Mac, McIlroy has won 36 professional tournaments including 23 PGA Tour events and five golf majors.

Wee-Mac will make his return to competitive golf at the Wells Fargo Championship having missed the cut at last month's 2023 Masters Tournament.
Prior to that, McIlroy had finished third at the 2023 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in March as Sam Burns of the US won the event.
Why McIlroy is among the favourites
The 33-year-old is familiar with the Quail Hollow Club having won three Wells Fargo Championship titles on the golf course and he will be eager to improve his OWGR ranking by winning the event.
McIlroy won the first of his 23 PGA Tour titles in 2010 at the Wells Fargo Championship, won again in 2015 in record fashion and picked up his first win in two years with a victory in Charlotte in 2021.
