Marc Marquez will be eager to record his first victory of the 2024 MotoGP season by clinching the
Italian MotoGP title.

Marquez has been consistent in the 2024 MotoGP campaign in the last few months having secured three successive podium finishes.
The Ducati Gresini Racing rider was among the contenders at the 2024 Catalan MotoGP on 26 May and he finished third which saw him accumulate 16 points from the race.
MotoGP title ambitions
The Spanish superstar is now third on the 2024 MotoGP Riders' standings having accumulated 114 points from six races.
Marquez is 41 points behind leader Jorge Martin of Ducati Prima Pramac Racing as the battle for the MotoGP world title intensifies.
Why Marquez could win the 2024 Italian MotoGP
The accomplished motorcycle rider was crowned Italian MotoGP champion in 2014 - making it five successive wins for Spanish riders in the Italian event.
Marquez, who finished second in this season's Spanish MotoGP and French MotoGP, will be confident of securing his maiden win of the campaign this weekend.
What did he say?
“We keep improving each day," Marquez said after finishing third at the 2024 Catalan MotoGP.
"But it’s clear that it’s not always possible to save the weekend as we did here and in Le Mans. On the other hand, at this track, which is the worst on the calendar for my riding style, two podiums are surely a great achievement and bode well for the rest of the season.
"Now let’s focus on Mugello and especially on solving the issues on the single-lap performance.”
