The last time they tasted a win was against Lesotho in December 2019 as they secured a 4-2 victory in the 2022 AFCON qualifier.
Gernot Rohr, the Nigeria head coach, says his side is in good shape following their friendly matches against Algeria and Tunisia.
“We saw the confirmation for some of our players like in the goalkeeper [Maduka Okoye] position, like in the left-back [Zaidu Sanusi] position, like also the new defender [Kelvin Akpoguma] who is coming in choosing Nigeria instead of Germany," Rohr said.
"So he can play in the right side, he can play in the middle. I think the team is in a good shape, we worked well, we have more options now for our list.”
