Celta Vigo will face off with Villarreal CF in a Spanish

Meanwhile, Villarreal secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Getafe at home in their last league game which was played on November 7.
The win ended the Yellow Submarine's four-match winless run in this competition having registered three defeats and one draw.
However, Villarreal are winless in their last seven games on the road in La Liga having recorded four consecutive draws and three defeats as the visitors.

“We’ve put in a serious performance, and we didn’t concede many chances," Villarreal manager Unai Emery said following their clash with Getafe.
"We scored early and we had chances to score a second. We put in a complete performance, but it was a tight result and the game was open. We needed to focus, we did and I’m proud. We got the three points, which was necessary.
"We’ve got them after improving how we’ve been playing, controlling the game in defence, stopping the opposing team’s transitions and generating danger in attack.”
The last meeting between Celta and Villarreal in a league match was on 9 May 2021.
Celta humbled Villarreal a as they claimed a 4-2 win in an encounter that was played at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
