Mackenzie Hughes will be keen to redeem himself when he competes in the
2022 RSM Classic having finished second in last year's event.
The Canadian star rallied from a group of golfers including eventual tournament winner Talor Gooch with four birdies among his last six holes.
However, Hughes capped by a 20-foot putt at No. 18 for a 62 to finish second at 19-under as Gooch shot a final round 6-under-par 64 to win by three strokes.
The Ontario-born golfer, who won the 2011 and 2012 Canadian Amateur Championship, is a two-time winner in the PGA Tour including the 2016 RSM Classic.
Hughes won the RSM Classic to become the first Canadian-born golfer to win on the PGA Tour since Nick Taylor at the 2014 Sanderson Farms Championship.
The 2013 PGA Tour Canada Order of Merit winner also became the first Canadian to win a non-alternate event since Mike Weir at the 2007 Fry's Electronics Open.
Hughes won his second PGA Tour title at the 2022 Sanderson Farms Championship in a playoff over Sepp Straka just last month.

“I’m over the moon. I had some moments today where I was tested and was able to pull through," Hughes said after winning the Sanderson Farms Championship
"It’s kind of my MO a little bit is to scramble and save some parts. I had to do that a little bit today on the back nine.
"Yeah, I did everything I possibly could, just grinded my butt off, and luckily it was good enough.”
Robert Streb is the most decorated golfer in the history of the RSM Classic with two titles since the tournament's formation in 2010.
