Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. is on course to achieve his best season in Formula One as he heads into the
Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday, November 5.
The Spaniard has regularly out-performed team-mate Charles Leclerc this term and won Ferrari's only race in 2023 to date at the Singapore Grand Prix - the second victory of his career.
Sainz Jr. has finished in the points in all but three of the 19 races to move up to fourth position in the Drivers' Championship standings after overtaking Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso following the Mexican Grand Prix.

Alonso was forced to retire on lap 47 after his car suffered collision damage and his compatriot went on to finish just 4.03 seconds behind Leclerc in P4.
The 29-year-old came fifth overall in 2021 and 2022, his best placing, and he'll be looking to put some distance between himself and Alonso in the final three races of the campaign.
Sainz Jr. started second on the grid, but revealed the pace of Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton made it hard for the Prancing Horse to compete with their main rivals on the day.
"Looking at the pace that Max and Lewis had, it was honestly a matter of time before they finished ahead or in front," he said.
"They simply are a lot quicker than us in race pace, we kind of expected going into the race that they have some extra pace in there and we had to manage a lot of temperatures.
"I had a weird stint on Mediums and I struggled with that front tyre that was grained almost on the formation lap, so we will have to take a look at that. Once we put the Hards on, I think we were just following the pace of the car."
