Inter Milan stand a chance of recording three consecutive wins in
Serie A this coming weekend when they host Lazio at the San Siro on Sunday.
The Italian giants bagged a 2-1 win against Verona in their latest Serie A fixture, with the latter yet to win a single game during the 2025/26 campaign.
As it stands, Inter’s win took them within one point of leaders Napoli in second place, while they also recorded a 3-0 victory against Fiorentina in matchday nine.
As for Lazio, the Rome-based outfit currently 13
th on the table and will be at home to Cagliari on Monday night in their most recent Serie A fixture. Prior to their match against Cagliari, Lazio jotted down two wins and three draws in their last five encounters.
Reflecting on Inter’s victory over Verona, coach Cristian Chivu believed that his side were lucky amid trying to tame their aggressive opponents.
“Everyone who’s faced Verona has suffered,” Chivu said.
They’re intense, physical and dangerous. We unlocked it, tried to control things, but on one long ball they punished us.
“These are games you’re more likely to lose than win – today we were lucky too.”
