Justin Thomas will be determined to continue his dominance in the
CJ Cup by winning the tournament for the third time.
The American star is the most decorated golfer in the history of the CJ Cup having won the inaugural event in 2017 before adding another title in 2019.
Thomas defeated Marc Leishman with a birdie on the second extra hole of a sudden-death playoff in 2017 and lifted the trophy.

In 2019, the Kentucky-born star won the CJ Cup in South Korea and this was his second win in the tournament in its three-year existence.
To date, Thomas is a former World Number One having experienced his breakout year in 2017 as won five PGA Tour events and the FedEx Cup championship.
The 2016-17 PGA Player of the Year has won two major golf championships, winning the PGA Championship in 2017 and 2022.
Ranked eighth in the Official World Golf Rankings, Thomas was part of the US team at the 2022 Presidents Cup; winning all four matches paired with Jordan Spieth but he lost in the singles.

“I totally understand — if I were in the same situation," Thomas said about LIV Golf members’ formal request to be included in the Official World Golf Ranking ahead of the Presidents Cup.
"I’d want it, but that doesn’t necessarily make it right. The governing bodies created the system for a reason and that’s to determine the best players in the world.
"Will it be skewed because some of the top players aren’t in there? Yes. But that’s their own fault for making the decisions they made," he added.
"They knew very well going into it there was a chance they wouldn’t have world ranking points and they took that risk. In my opinion, that’s their own fault.”
