Max Verstappen will be confident of winning the
Singapore Grand Prix for the first time and also move closer to retaining his Formula One world title.
The Red Bull Racing-RBPT driver secured a podium spot in the last Singapore Grand Prix in 2019 as he finished third having started at position four on the grid.
Verstappen made it five wins in a row in the current campaign when he won the most recent race which was the Italian Grand Prix on September 11.

The Belgian star overcame a grid penalty and late race Safety Car to score a win finishing ahead of pole sitter Charles Leclerc as the race at Monza ended under the Safety Car.
Leclerc, who is a Ferrari driver, settled for the runner-up spot, while George Russell of Mercedes finished third in an entertaining race in Italy.

Verstappen is edging closer to retaining his crown as he is still placed at the top of the 2022 Drivers' Championship standings and he will widen the gap if he wins in Singapore.
Leclerc and Red Bull Racing driver Sergio 'Checo' Perez are placed second and third respectively on the standings as they look to catch Verstappen.

“Yeah, I mean, of course it’s amazing what we’re experiencing within the team. I think we’re having an amazing year and it’s important to enjoy it as well," Verstappen said after the Italian Grand Pix.
"We’ve had a lot of different challenges of different kinds of tracks and now the car seems to work at every single kind of track and we are extremely pleased. I need a bit of luck for that as well, and I don’t think about it.
"I just want to go to Singapore and try to win that race as well, just have a good time. We are having a great season, so we should also really appreciate it and just enjoy the moment. We want to win more as a team, so we’ll try that.”
Red Bull Racing-RBPT are placed at the top of the Constructors' Championship standings and they are followed by Ferrari and Mercedes respectively.
