The 2019-20 Bundesliga season was suspended in March, with most teams having played 25 of their scheduled 34 matches. We take a closer look at the campaign’s most salient statistics thus far.

4 – Bayern Munich hold a four-point lead over nearest chasers Borussia Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga log. Bayern manager Hansi Flick, who recently signed a contract which runs up to 2023, says winning the double of Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal Cup is “basically mandatory”. “You always have to aspire to constantly improve and get the most out of your dispositions or skills. I don’t exempt myself from that,” said the 55-year-old, who had led the team to a run of 14 wins from 15 matches across all competitions before the season was suspended.
