Thiem seeks redemption at ATP Finals

Austrian star Dominic Thiem will be eager to redeem himself by winning the Nitto ATP Finals
 
The 27-year-old player is ranked third on the ATP rankings making him one of the best tennis players in the world. 
 
Thiem was defeated by Stefanos Tsitsipas in 2019 ATP Finals final and he will be keen to win this year's tournament.

The year 2020 has been Thiem's best year since he turned professional in 2011 having won the US Open.
 
Thiem came back from two sets down to defeat German Alexander Zverev in the US Open final to clinch his maiden Grand Slam trophy in September.
 
Prior to that, Thiem reached his maiden Grand Slam final on a hard court after defeating Zverev in the Australian Open semi-finals in January.

However, the Wiener Neustadt-born player lost to world number one Novak Djokovic in an enthralling final.

Thiem, who recently lost to Andrey Rublev in straight sets at the Vienna Open, has discussed his preparations for the ATP Finals.
 
"Nothing is quiet in fall – the last weeks have been busy," Thiem said on his website. 
 
"After losing in the quarter-final at my home tournament in Vienna I recovered from my foot injury. 
 
"It took me two, three days to recover, then I started my preparation for the final in London at the O2-Arena," he added. 
 
"On Wednesday I am leaving for London with a 'mini-team'. The final goal of 2020, the memories of last year are nice."
