The Whites were beaten 2-1 by Real Betis away in their previous league game which was played on March 8.
It was Real's second defeat in their last three league matches, while the other game was a win over FC Barcelona.
However, they are undefeated in their last 13 home matches in the league having recorded nine victories and four draws.
Sergio Ramos, the Real defender, remains hopeful that they will leapfrog log leaders Barcelona, who are only two points above them on the table.

"There's a lot still to play for in LaLiga," Ramos said.
"We didn't get any points to defend the top spot and now it's our turn to keep on picking up three point at s time and hoping the top team drop points.
"There are 11 games to go and many points still to play for. If we want to be champions, we can’t let opportunities pass us by."
Meanwhile, Eibar succumbed to a 2-1 defeat against Real Mallorca at home in their previous league game which was played on March 7.
It was the Gunsmiths' third defeat in their last four league matches, while the other game ended in a win over Levante.
They are also winless in their last six games on the road in the league having registered four defeats and two draws.
The last league meeting between Real and Eibar was on 9 November 2019.
Real recorded a 4-0 victory over Eibar in a match which was played at the Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa.
