AFCON 2019: Nigeria eye fourth title

Nigeria will grace the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals with are scheduled to be hosted by Egypt.

German coach Gernot Rohr will be in charge of the Super Eagles as they make their 18th appearance in the competition. 
 
They find themselves in Group B along with Burundi, Madagascar and Guinea. 
 
Nigeria will open their group stage campaign against Burundi at the Alexandria Stadium on June 22. Kick-off is at 18h00.

A match against their West African rivals Guinea will follow at the same venue on June 26. Kick-off is at 15h30.
 
The Super Eagles will then wrap up their group stage campaign against Madagascar at the Alexandria Stadium on June 30. Kick-off is at 17h00.

The top two teams from the group will advance to the knockout stages of the 24-team tournament.
 
While the best four third-placed teams will also advance to the knockout phase.
 
Nigeria have won the AFCON title three times and they are looking to go all the way and clinch their fourth trophy.
