As the watching world prepares for what is expected to be another monstrous Manchester derby in the
English Premier League, there are some other tantalising matches to sit back and enjoy ahead of the standout fixture of Gamweek 12.

LEICESTER CITY VS BURNLEY – KING POWER STADIUM, LEICESTER
This will be the Foxes first home game since the death of their beloved owner and the tributes will be out in full flow this weekend. “Fearless” as their motto suggests, Claude Puel’s side will need to muster all the courage if they are to find a way past a Burnley team that in the past have been notoriously tough to beat.
Leicester City’s 1-0 win at Cardiff last time out brought to an end a three-match winless run in the league with English winger Demarai Gray scoring just his second goal of the season.
Burnley, whose season started way back in July due to their participation in the qualifying rounds for the
UEFA Europa League, have won just 4 out of 18 matches played in all competitions so far this campaign.
The Clarets have conceded 13 goals in their last 3 matches while Leicester City have scored in every single league game since the start of the 2018/19 season – 12 matches.
Leicester have lost two of the last three meeting between the pair, although the corresponding fixture last season ended 1-0 to the hosts – Demarai Gray the scorer.
CRYSTAL PALACE VS TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR – SELHURST PARK, LONDON
After a fairly solid start to the season, the Eagles have well and truly had their wings clipped in recent weeks and find themselves seeking a first win in six heading into this weekend’s London derby against Tottenham who have won five and suffered just one defeat in the same period.
Palace will be well rested ahead of this weekend’s fixture while Spurs had to come from behind in their midweek European tie against PSV. Mauricio Pochettino’s men have tough tests on the horizon with fixtures against Chelsea, Inter Milan and Arsenal to follow their quest for the all-important three points at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Spurs have won the last six league matches in a row between the duo since a 2-1 defeat at Selhurst Park in January 2015, with four of the last five all ending 1-0 to Tottenham.
Crystal Palace however edged Tottenham 1-0 at White Hart Lane dumping them out of the FA Cup in the 5
th round in February 2015.
Harry Kane has struggled for form in 2018/19 but will look to replicate his performance from the corresponding match last season when he scored the solitary goal of the encounter.
CHELSEA VS EVERTON – STAMFORD BRIDGE, LONDON
A fixture that, up until their last meeting at Goodison Park in December which ended in a goalless stalemate, has produced a recent flurry goals pits Chelsea and Everton against each other once again at on Sunday.
The Toffees have won four of their last five matches in the Premier League since a 2-0 defeat away at Arsenal in September. Chelsea on the other hand are unbeaten in 16 matches in all competitions this season.
Everton have not beaten Chelsea in the league since September 2015 – a run of 5 matches in which they have conceded 13 goals against the Blues, although they did manage a 2-0 home win in the 6
th round of the FA Cup in March 2016 when former Blues frontman Romelu Lukaku bagged a brace.
The corresponding fixture last season ended 2-0 to Chelsea courtesy of strikes from the Spanish duo of Cesc Fabregas and Alvaro Morata, the latter of which has found the back of the net in his last two matches.
Chelsea also walked away 2-1 winners from Stamford Bridge when the sides met in the 4
th round of the Carabao Cup a couple of months later, this time with Willian and Antonio Rudiger both on the scoresheet.
